Diesel fuel

MessageAuthor

Hi everybody I am new in forum as well as 1999 S 40 1.9 D 95 hp owner. "Scientists" from services and garages told me a lot of stupidity in reply to my question. The question is: What diesel fuel suit the best to my engine? There are following diesel fuel in my pure Balkanian country named Serbia: 1. D2 (10 000 PPM) 2. EKO3 (350 PPM) 3. EVRO (50 PPM) I assume cetane number is min 45 for all. Thanks in adwance.

RE: Diesel fuel

Faber, my handbook quotes CN48 fuel for a diesel engine as a minimum grade. Chris

RE: Diesel fuel

My vehicle is not a diesel but I do know that most, if not all, fuel stations in the UK sell 'low sulphur' diesel. I do not know what concentration of sulphur is in our diesel, but presume it is of the correct amount not to cause any damage to modern diesel engines. Chris
